রাজ্যে দুদিনের সফরে এসে আসন্ন বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে ২০০ আসনের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা বেঁধে দিয়েছেন বিজেপির প্রাক্তন সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি অমিত শাহ। সেই প্রসঙ্গে তৃণমূলের মহাসচিব পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায় শনিবার বললেন, দুশোর গল্প করে বাংলার মাটি পাওয়া যাবে না ৷ এখানে মাটি পেতে হলে বাংলার সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গে যেভাবে মমতা বন্দ্যোপধ্যায় লড়াই করেছেন ঠিক সেভাবে লড়াই করতে হবে ৷
শনিবার তৃণমূল ভবনে সাংবাদিক বৈঠকে উপস্থিত হয়ে পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন, বাংলার বিরুদ্ধে অপপ্রচার চলছে ৷ ইতিহাস বিকৃত করে কথা বলার চেষ্টা করছে বিজেপি ৷ বাংলার লাঞ্ছনা, উপেক্ষার প্রতিবাদে মাথা তুলে দাঁড়িয়ে বাংলাকে এক রাখার লড়াই চালাচ্ছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ৷ যেভাবে প্রতি ক্ষেত্রে আমাদের পাওনা টাকা, আমফান, কোভিড, জিএসটি থেকে অর্থনৈতিক অবরোধ তৈরি করেছে তার বিরুদ্ধে বাংলার মানুষ গর্জে উঠেছে ৷ এমনকী যাঁরা এতদিন বিরোধী দলে ছিলেন তাঁরা মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে সামনে রেখে লড়াই করতে চাইছেন ৷
আজ তৃণমূলে যোগদান করেন বাদুড়িয়ার কংগ্রেস বিধায়ক কাজী আবদুর রহিম ৷ তৃণমূল ভবনে তাঁর হাতে দলীয় পতাকা তুলে দেওয়া হয় ৷ এছাড়াও তৃণমূলে যোগ দিলেন বিজেপির রাজ্য মহিলা মোর্চার সহ সভাপতি মৌমিতা বসু চক্রবর্তী সহ আরও কয়েকজন ৷
তৃণমূলে যোগ দিয়ে বাদুড়িয়ার কংগ্রেস বিধায়ক বলেন, ভারতবর্ষের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নতুন ভারতবর্ষ গড়ার স্বপ্ন দেখিয়েছিলেন ৷ অথচ আজ দেশের অর্থনীতি বিপদের মুখে ৷ দেশের সম্প্রীতি, ভালোবাসা, বিশ্বাস সবটাই তলানিতে এসে পৌঁছেছে ৷ বিজেপি বাংলার উন্নয়ন বন্ধ করার চেষ্টা করছে ৷

IMPORTANT: Ten former policemen, sitting Congress MLA join AITC on November 7
Ten former policemen have joined the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on November 7 in the presence of Shri Partha Chatterjee, Secretary General, West Bengal Trinamool Congress; Shri Firhad Hakim, Chairman, Board of Administrators, Kolkata Corporation; and Shri Om Prakash Mishra, Shri Nirmal Ghosh, Shri Jyotipriya Mallik, Shri Partha Bhowmick, and Shri Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, MP, Rajya Sabha, at Trinamool Bhavan.
Kaji Abdur Rahaman, the current Congress MLA from Baduria, also joined the party today.

Krishna Chandra Chowdhury: A senior police officer of Kolkata Police, retired from service in 2019.
Saroj Gajmir: He is a retired IPS officer. He joined West Bengal Police Service as Deputy Superintendent of Police in 1983. As DySP/ SDPO, he worked in various districts of the state. As Special Superintendent, he worked in IB North Bengal. As DySP CID earlier, used to look after entire North Bengal. Since 2006, he worked at CID WB Bhabani Bhawan and Kolkata Police as Sr DC AP KP, Joint JT Armed Police / Jt CP Estt. In 2014, Mr Gajmir joined WB police directorate as Spl IG Hq and was posted as IGP M&C and IGP Welfare till retirement at the end of February 2020. He was awarded Chief Secretary’s and DGP’s commendation in 2004 and CP Kolkata police and DGP’s commendation eight times. He Was Parade Commander of Independence Day parade held at Red Road in 2012 & 2013.
Kalyan Bandyopadhyay: He is a retired IPS officer. He entered the Service in West Bengal Police as Dy. SP in 1986. He worked as Asst. Commandant of Police in Eastern Frontier Rifles Bns, Dy. SP Headquarters in Bankura and Dy. SP, Discipline & Training in South 24 Pgs. Worked as Sub Divisional Police Officer in Uluberia, (Howrah), Belgharia (North 24 Pgs), Tamluk (East Medinipore), Bongaon (North 24 Pgs) and Domkol (Murshidabad). He was on UN Mission for one year in Bosnia & Herzegovina in 1999 and was awarded two UN Peace Medals. He has worked as Commandant, State Armed Police, 9th Bn and also worked as Superintendent of Police, Cooch Behar. For a short time, he looked after the security of Chief Minister, West Bengal in Kolkata as Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Kolkata Police. In 2017, he was promoted to the post of Inspector General of Police, Coastal Security and later on he has served as the Traffic department as IGP.
Satyajit Banerjee: He is a retired IPS officer. A decorated police officer of over 30 years, he has worked in various capacities ensuring internal discipline, supervision of police work and running police district force. He has served as Jt. Commissioner, Armed Police, Kolkata Police, Range Deputy IG, Malda Range; and supervised policing in Malda, South Dinajpur and North Dinajpur. He has also worked as UN peace-keeping officer in Kosovo and Senior Security officer at ONGC. After his retirement, he has served Govt of West Bengal in the rank of IGP. He was awarded Proshongsha Padak in 2008 and UN Peace Medal in 2002.
Bhuban Chandra Mandal: He is a retired IPS officer. He was SDPO in Rampurhat, Baripur, Barasat and Belgharia and he served as Asstt. Superintendent of Police in South 24 Parganas, Burdwan, Howrah and Dakshin Dinajpur. He was also SP of Malda district. He was entrusted with various responsibilities at a senior level in CID, IB (West Bengal) and also served as CVO of Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
Debkumar Mukherjee: He is a retired IPS officer. He retired as senior Deputy Commissioner of Police and his last posting was as DCP Home Guard, Kolkata Police He graduated from Bankura Christian College with Hons and also possesses a BA Hons, LLB and LLM degree. He hails from Uttar Para Raj Bari family (zamindar) which enriched cultural arena and played a very important role in Freedom movement. Shri Mukherjee is the General Secy. Of “SEBA, West Bengal”, President of “ Nabadwip to Bally Railway jatri samati “ and President of “ Dunlop Bacho Nagorik Mancha”.
Dipankar Chakraborty: He retired as Deputy Commissioner of Police
Biswajit Chakraborty: He retired as Assistant Commissioner of Police. He served twice in the UN Peacekeeping Force
Md Mokaffar Hussein: He is now practising in Kolkata High Court. After a long career in police, Mr Hussein retired as senior Assistant Commissioner of Police. His elder brother Munshi Sahadot Hossain was a distinguished poet based out of Kolkata.
Dipak Kr Das: He joined as Sergeant in 1978. During his long career in the police and security establishment, he also made a distinction in various categories of Sports. He represented Bengal 14 times in national basketball competition, played basketball and handball for Kolkata Police, was selected for Indian Equestrian Meet and won various trophies in Polo for Kolkata Mounted Police. He represented India in hand bowl event in Asian games and was also captain of Bengal Basketball team. He Retired as A.C (1) 3rd Battalion K.A.P.
Dr Subhomoy Nag: He passed MBBS from NRS Medical College Kolkata in 1985 and MD in Radio Diagnosis from Calcutta University in 1989. Dr Nag is a renowned radiologist with 30 years of experience maximizing patient wellness with world class service for the society. He was the first medical professional to introduce modern technology in the field of radio diagnosis and pathology in Burdwan District . He introduced USG, CT, Cardiac CT, MRI in Burdwan district for improving the accuracy of the diagnosis with the help of high end technology even before Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. He also established the first NABL Accredited Pathology Centre in Burdwan District for unerring results. He was also instrumental in introducing DRD and DMLT courses under West Bengal Medical Council. He is engaged in consultancy practice in Radiodiagnosis since 1990 at Burdwan and Kolkata. He believes in spread of advanced telemedicine facilities to the periphery of districts to reduce cost of treatment and thinks that West Bengal can emerge as “Medical Tourism” in India.
Dr Nazibar Rahaman: He is the Principal of Kaliachak College, Malda. Besides Bangla and English, Dr Rahaman is also proficient in Assamese, Hindi, Arabic and Sanskrit. A doctorate in English literature, he has published widely and is a recipient of many distinctions and awards. Dr Rahaman served as Head of Department of English in various colleges in Assam. Under his able leadership of last 5 years, Kaliachak College is emerging as a strong and well served educational institution. Dr Rahaman hails from BhutniDiara in Manikchak in Malda and his family has actively contributed to the cause of advancement of education through philanthropy and social service. Dr Rahaman is associated with many socio-cultural organisations in Malda and outside the district
Dr Rajesh Das: He is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Burdwan. He joined the University in 2005 and has distinguished himself as a teacher and scholar. Credited with many publications, Dr Das is known for his work on television and health communication and other topical issue areas in the study and research on journalism and mass communication. He serves different educational institutes, academic and research bodies in various capacities
Prof Santanu Pramanik: He holds a BA degree in Fine Arts from Government Art College, Kolkata. For many years, he has been serving various organisations and institutions in different capacities — as Lecturer, Art Instructor, Illustrator, Seniour Designer, Visualiser and a spiritual adviser. As a political activist, he was associated with DYFI and CPIM. Subsequently, he has been in charge of “Trinamool Bhavan – Jago Bangla, A Bengali Weekly in Kolkata”. Earlier, he served as PS to Prof. Radhika Ranjan Pramanik, Member of Parliament for several years
Anindita Das Kabir: He is a Science graduate with Hons. and has also earned a MBA degree in hospitality management. Besides being Secretary of East West Education Institute. Ms. Kabir is Associate Director of Apollo Hospitals, Burdwan and Managing Director of Anindita Foods
