কালীপুজোয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বাড়ি যাবেন রাজ্যপাল জগদীপ ধনকড়

তাঁর আসার খবরে পদ ছেড়েছেন পুজো কমিটির প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক। বারাসতের সেই তরুচ্ছায়া ক্লাবের কালীপুজোর উদ্বোধনে এসে সৌহার্দ্যের বার্তা দিলেন রাজ্যপাল জগদীপ ধনকড় ৷ জানালেন, মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বাড়ির কালীপুজোয় যাবেন তিনি ৷ যাবেন তাঁর স্ত্রীও ৷

বারাসত তরুচ্ছায়া ক্লাবের সুবর্ণজয়ন্তী বর্ষের কালীপুজোয় উদ্বোধক হিসেবে রাজ্যপালের আসার খবর জানার পরই প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষকের পদ থেকে পদত্যাগ করেন বারাসতের পৌরপ্রধান সুনীল মুখোপাধ্যায়। রাজ্যপাল আসা নিয়ে বিস্তর জলঘোলাও হয়। শনিবার সকালে তরুচ্ছায়া ক্লাবের পুজো উদ্বোধনে আসেন রাজ্যপাল।

উদ্বোধনে এসে রাজ্যপাল বলেন, আমি পুজোর উদ্বোধনে এসেছি। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যখন উত্তরবঙ্গে ছিলেন আমি ২৯ তারিখ ভাইফোঁটার দিন তাঁর বাড়িতে যাব বলে চিঠি লিখেছিলাম। ভাইফোঁটা হলো ভাইবোনের মিলনের দিন। তিনি উত্তরবঙ্গ থেকে ফিরে আমাকে চিঠির জবাব পাঠিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেছেন, তাঁর বাড়িতে কালীপুজো হয়। ২৭ তারিখ তিনি সেই পুজোয় যেতে আমাদের আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছেন। আমি নতমস্তক। আমি ও আমার স্ত্রী তাঁর বাড়িতে যাব। আজকের দিনে অন্য কোনও বিষয় নিয়ে জবাব দেওয়ার আর কোনও প্রয়োজনীয়তা নেই।

পুজো মণ্ডপের ফিতে কেটে তিনি চলে যান বারাসতেরই বিদ্রোহী ক্লাবের পুজো উদ্বোধনে। সেখানে তিনি মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির কর্মসূচিকে কুর্নিশ জানান। নিজে এই কর্মসূচিতে সামিল হবেন বলেও জানান রাজ্যপাল।

উল্লেখ্য, ২২ অক্টোবর সন্দেশখালিতে রাজ্যপালের প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক বয়কট করেছিলেন উত্তর ২৪ পরগনার বহু জনপ্রতিনিধি। জেলাশাসকও তাঁর বৈঠকে গরহাজির ছিলেন। ঘটনায় ক্ষোভপ্রকাশ করেন ধনকড়। তার পরপরই রাজ্যপাল পুজো উদ্বোধনে আসবেন বলে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার পদ ছেড়েছেন বারাসতের পৌরপ্রধান। পুজোর উদ্বোধনে এসে রাজ্যপাল সে ব্যাপারে কী বলেন, সেদিকে তাকিয়ে ছিলেন অনেকেই। কিন্তু সংঘাতের পথে না গিয়ে সৌহার্দ্যের বার্তা দিলেন তিনি।

এদিকে রাজভবনের তরফ থেকে একটি বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করা হয়েছে।

The Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, had sent a personal request to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 21.10.2019 that on the pious occasion of Bhatridwitiya on 29.10.2019, he, along with his wife Smt. Sudesh Dhankhar, would be keen to call on the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the occasion.

The Hon’ble Governor Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, is delighted that the Hon’ble Chief Minister, upon her return from North Bengal, has indicated vide her communication dated 24.10.2019 that the Hon’ble Governor and Smt. Dhankhar are welcome to visit her residence on the evening of 27.10.2019 on the auspicious occasion of Kali Puja.

The Kali Puja at the residence of the Chief Minister was started in the year 1978 and is now being performed for over 50 years.

The Hon’ble Governor Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar has conveyed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 25.10.2019 that he and his wife will be privileged to be at her place on the auspicious occasion of Kali Puja on the evening of 27 October, 2019 as indicated by her.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister, in her communication dated 24.10.2019 had also indicated that for the last 30 years on the occasion of Bhatridwitiya she has been affirmatively preoccupied with communal harmony.

The essence of the Indian Constitution lies in communal harmony and the issue is also very close to the Hon’ble Governor’s heart. In the Nation, all of us need to work both for harmony and communal harmony and the Hon’ble Governor would interact on this issue with the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

The Hon’ble Governor and his wife look forward to the visit to the residence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister tomorrow evening.
